Limited Warranty – Les Cannes Boréal

1. Limited Lifetime Warranty

Les Cannes Boréal offers a limited lifetime warranty against any material or manufacturing defects to the original owner. This includes visible defects such as a loose reel seat, a ring detaching without apparent cause, or any other defect that renders the rod unusable. Decorative elements (braiding, pyrography, stickers) are also covered for up to three (3) years following purchase.

To be eligible, the rod must be registered within 30 days of purchase with valid proof. The warranty is provided only to the original owner.

Les Cannes Boréal will inspect the rod to determine if the damage is due to a defect. If so, the rod will be repaired or replaced at no cost, at the company’s discretion. Some original parts may be retained or replaced by equivalent parts if discontinued.

If the damage results from normal wear, accident, misuse, or improper maintenance, an estimate will be provided before any repair. Fees may apply. Les Cannes Boréal reserves the right to refuse any abusive or unjustified claims.

Important: complete loss of the rod (e.g., dropped in water, theft) is not covered.

2. VIP Warranty – “No fault”

When purchasing a rod, customers may opt for the VIP “no fault” Warranty for a fee of $125 + taxes. This warranty allows for a one-time replacement of the rod regardless of the cause of damage (accidental breakage, misuse, etc.).

The VIP Warranty is valid only once and only if added at the time of rod purchase. It cannot be applied retroactively.

Important: complete loss of the rod (lost while boating, theft, etc.) is not covered under the VIP Warranty.

3. Service Conditions

  • All claims must be accompanied by the original receipt.
  • The product must be shipped in secure packaging, prepaid and insured.
  • Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer in all cases.

4. Exclusions

  • Damage due to misuse, accident, or impact
  • Normal wear, fading, loss of color
  • Use of lures or lines not conforming to specifications
  • Damage caused by transport or mishandling
  • Complete loss of the rod (e.g., dropped in water, theft)

5. Non-covered Products

Clothing, lures, and promotional items have a 30-day warranty against manufacturing defects. Return shipping fees are the customer’s responsibility.

6. Returns & Exchanges

All sales are final. Returns are possible within 10 days of receipt if the product:

  • Is in its original condition
  • Is returned in the original packaging with the receipt
  • Return shipping costs are paid by the customer

Les Cannes Boréal is not responsible for any loss, damage, or costs related to the product return.

The warranty is valid from the date of purchase. We reserve the right to modify this policy without notice.

We recommend properly maintaining and storing your rod after each use to prolong its lifespan and performance.
